Head Chef
Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager / Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control.
- Design seasonal menus, create recipes, and standardize portion sizes.
- Manage kitchen budget, control food costs, and minimize waste.
- Lead, train, and schedule the kitchen brigade (sous chefs, line cooks, assistants).
- Ensure strict adherence to HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Culinary arts degree/diploma or equivalent trade certification.
- 5+ years in professional kitchens, with at least 2 years as Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
- Food Safety certification (e.g., ServSafe or local equivalent).
Key Competencies: Leadership, creativity, cost management, stress tolerance.
