Job Purpose:
To deliver comprehensive instruction in Educational Psychology, equipping future teachers with the understanding of how students learn, develop, and behave. The role focuses on bridging psychological theory with classroom practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction: Teach courses in Developmental Psychology, Learning Theories (Behaviorism, Cognitivism, Constructivism), and Classroom Management.
  • Practical Application: Guide students in applying psychological principles to address diverse learning needs, special education, and behavioral challenges in the classroom.
  • Research: Initiate and conduct research on student motivation, learning styles, and mental health in educational contexts.
  • Assessment: Prepare and mark examinations, ensuring that assessments measure applied psychological knowledge.
  • Professional Development: Conduct workshops for practicing teachers on topics like stress management and inclusive education.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Psychology (with a focus on Educational or Developmental Psychology).
  • Experience: Teaching experience at the secondary or tertiary level is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex psychological jargon into practical teaching strategies.
  • Research methodology skills.
