Position: Refrigeration Technician (2 Positions Lilongwe and Blantyre)

Job Description

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair Air conditioning units.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of AHUs, Cold rooms and Air conditioners.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
• Replace worn-out parts and perform system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts.
• Provide technical support to clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing and completing work orders/job cards.
• Communicating with clients to assess equipment needs.
• Ordering equipment, spare parts, and materials.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Installing refrigeration units and beverage equipment.
• Testing system operation after installation.
• Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures.
• Maintaining stock levels.
• Replacing worn seals, motors, and system components.
• Advising clients on repair costs and alternatives.
• Servicing and repairing refrigeration systems.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years practical experience.
• Ability to read drawings and technical schematics..
• Knowledge of safety and refrigeration regulations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Computer literacy is required.
