The Malawi School of Government (MSG) is a unique higher education Statutory Corporation established under the Malawi School of Government Act No. 33 of 2022.

MSG invites applications from suitably qualified, innovative and results-oriented individuals to fill the following position:

POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Grade: SG7
Duty Station: Secretariat - Lilongwe
Reporting to: Director of Administration

Job Purpose:

To coordinate the delivery of efficient administrative, office support and records management services.

Key Duties:

  • Coordinate and monitor office administrative services
  • Coordinate official meetings, events and ceremonies
  • Monitor sanitation, hygiene and workplace standards
  • Coordinate outsourced administrative support services
  • Supervise and appraise support staff
  • Maintain asset register, inventory and records management

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management or related field (NCHE accredited)
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant post-qualification experience
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing Performance Management Systems

Competencies:

Strong organizational & supervisory skills, knowledge of office administration & asset management, excellent communication, ability to work under pressure, high integrity, proficiency in MS Office.
