A Restaurant & Bar based in Lilongwe, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain practical, hands-on experience in accounting and finance within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities or duties
The Accounts Assistant will be expected to:
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks.
- Record financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Support preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Assist in bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
- Maintain proper filing of financial records and documents.
- Support internal audits and compliance activities.
- Perform any other finance and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications or requirementsÂ
ICAM Diploma or equivalent.
Experience needed
No prior work experience required.
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft.
- Willingness to learn, with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
