St Michael’s Guilleme Community Hospital, a proud CHAM member hospital, invites applications from qualified and committed individuals for the position of Accounts Assistant – Grade M.

Core Role:

Manage accounting data systems for the entire facility and provide financial analysis to support decision-making, budgeting, and donor reporting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Data Systems Management: Maintain and reconcile facility accounting data in digital systems. Ensure accuracy of cashbook, ledgers, and reports for all departments.
  • Financial Analysis & Projections: Prepare monthly/quarterly financial analysis, budget vs actual reports, and cash flow projections for management.
  • Proposal Writing & Donor Reporting: Support drafting of project budgets, financial sections of proposals, and donor financial reports with supporting data.
  • Compliance & Records: Maintain vouchers, receipts, and financial documents per CHAM Finance Manual and donor requirements.
  • Basic finance data entry where needed & Ensure compliance with Accounting Procedures and support auditors as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have Certificate/Diploma in accounting
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related field. (Will have extra advantage).
  • 3+ year’s vast experience in financial data management, analysis, and reporting. Experience in NGO/CHAM/health facility preferred.
  • Proven skills in proposal writing and preparing project budgets/financial projections.

Added Advantage:

  • Candidates with background in Economics and strong data management skills will have added advantage.

Required Extra Skills / Key Assets:

  • Accounting Packages: Advanced MS Excel, QuickBooks, Pastel, Tally, or SunSystems. Experience with DHIS2, LMIS, or any hospital finance module is an added advantage.
  • Data Analysis: MS Excel – PivotTables, VLOOKUP, budgeting templates. Basic Power point presentation.
  • Proposal/Budgeting: Ability to develop donor-compliant budgets, budget narratives, and financial projections.
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to set up simple data management systems for the whole facility and ensure data quality.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and strong analytical + communication skills.
