Overview
Are you detail-oriented, trustworthy, and passionate about financial management and accountability? We are seeking a qualified Accounts Officer to support effective financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency in all accounting processes.
Position: Accounts Officer
Location: Nkhotakota
Reporting To: Finance Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting systems
- Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, and manage petty cash
- Process invoices, payments, and bank transactions
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Support budget preparation and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with organisational financial policies and donor requirements
- Assist during audits and provide required financial documentation
- Manage statutory deductions and ensure timely remittances
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls

- High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
