About the Role
TWR Malawi is seeking a highly organized, professional, and committed Administrative Assistant to support the smooth running of the ministry’s administrative operations. The successful candidate will contribute to the achievement of TWR Malawi’s vision: “To reach Malawi for Christ through mass media so that lasting fruit is produced.”
The Administrative Assistant will support office administration, logistics coordination, accounting support, and general organizational operations in line with the ministry’s strategic framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain effective general administration systems while ensuring confidentiality and proper management of organizational information.
- Front Office Operations: Receive visitors and direct them to appropriate offices.
- Logistics Management: Coordinate logistical arrangements for Board meetings and events hosted by TWR Malawi with both international and local visitors.
- Accounting Support: Provide support to accounting functions and handle petty cash in accordance with organizational procedures.
- Correspondence and Documentation: Prepare documents as directed by the line manager or National Director.
- Administration: Maintain and regularly update the asset register, manage administrative forms and systems.
Qualifications and Competencies
Requirements
- Must be a committed Christian in good standing with their local church
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Sound telephone etiquette
- Planning and coordination skills
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices
- Ability to multitask and follow up effectively
- Ability to operate office equipment and systems
- Flexibility and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in administration or office management.
- Experience working in a Christian organization will be an added advantage.
