DAPP Malawi is inviting suitably qualified, experienced and interested candidates to apply for the following positions:
AGRIBUSINESS/MARKETING OFFICER – 1 POSITION
Location: Balaka District
Project: SAMIS
Reports to: Project Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide governance and technical training to cooperative leadership structures.
- Strengthen cooperative business management systems and skills.
- Support the development of profitable and sustainable business plans.
- Train cooperative leaders in cash-flow projections and financial statements.
- Promote value addition initiatives within cooperatives.
- Facilitate registration of cooperatives with the Ministry of Trade and MBS.
- Organise market meetings to facilitate potential trade agreements.
- Conduct market research to identify viable opportunities.
- Implement and strengthen market linkage strategies.
- Link cooperatives to financial institutions to improve access to finance.
- Promote Village Savings and Loans (VSL) as a source of capital.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Community Development or related field.
- Over 5 years’ experience in M&E.
- Previous experience working with DAPP is an added advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively and achieve project goals.
- Ability to submit timely and high-quality reports.
- Willingness to seek advice, obtain second opinions and accept guidance.
- Knowledge of data subsets and disaggregation.
