ANAESTHESTIC CLINICAL OFFICER

Location: Kanjedza Clinic

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessment, administer and monitor anaesthesia intra-operatively, and provide post-operative care.
• Adherence to established protocols and guidelines regarding administration of anaesthesia and the profession.
• Help resuscitate and stabilise unwell patients in critically ill and emergency situations.

Educational qualifications experience and attributes

• Minimum of Diploma in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine from a recognized institution
• At least 2 years practical experience in a busy operating theatre of a hospital.
• Emotional resilience, a calm temperament and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Outstanding organisational ability and effective decision-making skills.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the Medical Council of Malawi.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: associate degree
