Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Technology, the successtul candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for a range of applications and systems used by the Bank. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues, as well as development of new solutions and upgrades.

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent team player with good communication skills
  • Service-oriented with strong time and people management skills
  • Project management and innovative mindset
  • Software development Skills

Experience needed

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus at least 3 years relevant experience in the banking sector.

  • Manage and support all Core Banking Applications (CBA) and non-CBA applications and e-channels.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation for all applications and e-channels.
  • Perform systems administration, configuration, integration and performance monitoring.
  • Provide user support and training on all supported applications.
  • Execute routine system maintenance, backups, restoration, and operational checks.
  • Coordinate system maintenance activities and ensure compliance with Ecobank Group change and configuration management guidelines.
  • Supervise and monitor the development and integration of relevant interfaces with third-party applications.
  • Automate manual systems as well as repetitive tasks and workflows across various business functions.
  • Manage the software library and ensure secure on-site and off-site backups for all applications.
