Responsibilities or duties

The general duties and responsibility of the will include the following:

  • Analyzing operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses and advise the hospital management on financial management.
  • Developing, implementing, modifying, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technologyRecruitment services
  • Developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Establishing tables of accounts and assigning entries to proper accounts.
  • Preparing, examining, or analyzing accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Interpreting financial policies on accounts.
  • Supervising all accounts staff including health centers
  • Controlling day to day operations of main accounts.
  • Reporting to management regarding the finances of the health center

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Minimum of Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Registered member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in Malawi (ICAM).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience needed

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting.
