Mount Sinai International School
Responsibilities or duties
- Information gathering for financial reports and preparation of statistical reports (Research will be conducted where appropriate on request by a Director).
- Internal auditing
- Receiving payment of school fees and payment from debtors
- Organizing payments to creditors
- Organizing banking (this must be done on a daily basis) with support documents such as receipts
- Producing letters, reports and other financial documents for the Finance Director
- preparing, analyzing, and verifying financial documents in order to provide information to the Directors
- Handle day to day tasks such as; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Reconciliation of Bank Statements, Trial Balance, and Financial Statements. The Directors expect monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Prepare Management Account reports
- Update the files of all the Students with the relevant financial information (maintaining of personal student accounts)
- Screen financial inquiries from parents and handle those matters not needing a Director’s attention
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- excellent organizational skills
- good written and spoken communication skills
- accuracy and attention to detail
- a calm and professional manner
- ‘multi-tasking’ ability
- Good computer and administrative skills
- the ability to work on your own initiative
- tact and discretion, for dealing with confidential information
Experience needed
a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.
