JOB PURPOSE

The Assistant AdministrationOfficer / Dispatch Rider will provide administrative and dispatch support to the company by ensuring the timely delivery and collection of documents, correspondence and other company materials. The position will also assist with debt collection, company errands and general administrative duties.

The successful candidate must be responsible, trustworthy, physically fit and capable of riding a motorcycle safely and efficiently while representing the company professionally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver and collect company documents and other correspondence to clients, suppliers, banks, government offices and other relevant institutions.
  • Assist the company in following up outstanding and collecting debts from customers and clients.
  • Assist the company in arranging the abnormal load permit and renewal of COF for different vehicles and equipment, etc.
  • Assist the company in arranging documentation for insurance claims and follow up
  • Maintain proper records of documents delivered and collected
  • Safely operate and ride the company’s motorcycle for official assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age: 35 years and above.
  • Must be a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) holder.
  • Must possess a valid motorcycle riding license.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of riding a motorcycle for extended periods.
  • Must have good knowledge of roads and locations within the areas where the company operates.
  • Previous experience in dispatch, administration, debt collection or a related position will be an added advantage.
  • Experience dealing with MRA, government offices, banks and other institutions will be an added advantage.
  • Must have good Knowledge of Malawi Road Traffic Procedures
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be trustworthy, reliable and responsible, particularly when handling company documents and money.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must be punctual and capable of meeting deadlines.

Note: The employee may be required to perform other duties related to administration, dispatch and company operations as assigned by management.

A very competitive remuneration package will be offered in accordance with the selected candidates’ performance on the job.
