Background

PUSEPA, we are Public Service Pensioners Association in Malawi, a leading membership representing retired civil servants, with its Head Office in Lilongwe.

Position Summary

PUSEPA is seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Administrator to assist managing dally secretariat office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the smooth operation of our secretariat, including asset management.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and meeting minutes
  • Manage office supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification

  • Diploma in Public Administration or Business Administrafion, Human Resources and any other related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in office administration, ideally within an NGO membership association or public sector environment in Malawi.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database management.
  • Excelent written and verbal communication in both English and Chichewa
  • High level of integrity, patience and empathy when decling with elderly persons.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision even at odd hours.

Personal Attributes

  • The candidate should be between 45 – 65 years of age
  • Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
  • Respectful and professional conduct when dealing with Senior Citizens.
  • Knowledge of Malawi’s Public Service Pension framework is an added advantage.
