ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated ASSISTANT FARM MANAGER to join our poultry farming operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong livestock management experience who is looking to progress their career in a hands-on and fast-paced agricultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily management and supervision of poultry operations
• Monitor bird health, welfare, feed intake, and environmental conditions
• Ensure strict adherence to biosecurity and health & safety protocols
• Support staff supervision and training
• Maintain accurate farm records (production, mortality, medication, etc.)
• Assist with ordering feed, supplies, and coordinating deliveries
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance of housing, equipment, and facilities
• Step in to manage the farm in the absence of the Deputy Farm Manager

Requirements

• Previous experience in poultry farming or livestock management (essential)
• Strong understanding of animal welfare standards and farm compliance
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Practical, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
• Flexibility to work weekends and early mornings as required
• Relevant agricultural qualification (desirable)
• Should possess a Diploma in Animal health and production
• With minimum of 3 years of experience
