Background

Blue Zebra Island Lodge is seeking a highly experienced Assistant Lodge Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our remote island lodge. This is a senior role suited to a strong operator who understands lodge management at a strategic and hands-on level.

The position runs on a 21 days on, 7 days off roster and reports directly to the Lodge Manager. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.

Role Overview

The Assistant Lodge Manager will work across all operational areas including finance oversight and cost control, maintenance coordination, HR and staff management, food and beverage operations, and general administration. Strong computer skills are essential, as the role involves reporting, system management, and cross-department coordination. You will act as Manager-on-Duty when required and play a key role in maintaining service standards, SOPs, and overall guest experience.

Experience & Attributes

Applicants must have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a senior management position in a similar lodge or hospitality role. The ideal candidate is organized, decisive, and solutions-driven, with strong leadership and people-management skills. You must be comfortable working in a remote island environment and have a genuine passion for tourism, nature, and service excellence.
