Overview

MobiPay Ltd is seeking a results-driven and highly analytical Bet Manager to oversee and manage betting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient betting operations, compliance with regulations, revenue growth, and fair gaming practices across MobiPay’s betting platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day betting operations and gaming activities
• Monitor betting performance, payouts, margins, and risk exposure
• Set, review, and manage betting rules, odds, and limits
• Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, licensing requirements, and internal policies
• Coordinate with ICT, finance, and radio teams on betting campaigns and games
• Analyse betting data and prepare operational and performance reports
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or irregular betting activities
• Manage player disputes, payouts, and escalations
• Support development and continuous improvement of betting systems and processes

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, ICT, or a related field
• Proven experience in betting, gaming, or risk management will be a strong advantage
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Good understanding of betting operations, odds management, and risk control
• Knowledge of mobile money platforms, USSD/SMS betting systems, or online betting platforms is an added advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
• Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations in Malawi will be an added advantage
