Background

We are looking for individuals to help shape a wellness experience that brings together Malawian warmth and heritage with aromas, flavours and rituals from around the world.

Responsibilities

Food Preparation:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure food quality and freshness, adhering to HACCP and hygiene standards.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.

Beverage Crafting:

  • Prepare specialty coffees (espresso, latte art) and fresh juices/smoothies.
  • Mix and serve alcoholic beverages (cocktails, wine) with precision.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar and service areas.

Guest Service:

  • Take guest orders accurately and provide recommendations based on preferences.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction regarding taste and temperature.
  • Handle dietary restrictions and allergies with care.

Cleanliness:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation.
  • Follow proper dishwashing and waste disposal procedures.

Qualifications

  • Culinary school diploma or relevant certification (e.g., Barista, Bartending).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen or café.
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and cocktail mixing principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long hours.
  • Food Safety Certification is required.
