Background

Mtola Academy is a private secondary school situated in Area 38, at 6 Miles near Bunda Turnoff in Lilongwe. The Academy, which opens its doors in October 2022 will offer MANEB course of instruction. The Academy is now recruiting teachers. Applications are invited from suitable qualified and skilled teachers in any three of the following subjects:

Agriculture, English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Studies, Geography, History, Bible Knowledge, Chichewa, Life Skills, Social Studies.

Duties/Responsibilities

Among other duties the successful candidates will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Teaching as per the prescribed syllabus of the Academy
• Give qualitative written work to students as per the Academy requirements.
• Disciplines children in line with the Academy code of conduct.
• Evaluates and gives tests to students.
• Participates in at least one co-curricular activity.
• Interprets and implements the national syllabus.
• Schemes and records all work.

Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of Bachelors in Education
• At least 3 years’ experience
• Should be aged 25 and above
• Self-motivated, team player, innovative and result oriented.

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: bachelor degree
