We operate a modern quarry and plant facility supplying high-quality Cement to the Malawian market and beyond. We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position: –

MINE – MANGOCHI

Job Description:

Setting the blasting and ensuring safety of lives, environment & machines

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and load explosives into drilled holes according to blasting plans

Set up detonators, fuses, and timing devices

Inspect blast areas to ensure safety before detonation

Conduct controlled explosions to fragment rock or remove earth

Monitor blast results and report any irregularities

Handle and store explosives in compliance with safety laws

Maintain blasting equipment and tools

Work closely with engineers and site supervisors

Ensure all safety procedures and environmental guidelines are followed

Requirements & Qualifications

Valid blasting licence

Completion of Secondary School education – Tertiary education will be added advantage

Knowledge of explosives handling and safety regulations

Experience in mining, quarrying or construction (preferred)

Ability to read and follow technical blasting plans

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Physical fitness and ability to work in harsh outdoor environments

Minimum 5 years experience.
