CHICHIRI PRIVATE SECONDARY SCHOOL is seeking a dedicated and responsible Boarding Master to oversee the welfare and discipline of students residing in the school boarding facilities.

Responsibilities or duties

The Boarding Master will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all boarding students.
  • Maintaining discipline and enforcing school rules within the boarding house.
  • Supervising students during study periods, meals, and recreational activities.
  • Liaising with parents/guardians regarding student welfare and progress.
  • Organizing and supervising boarding house activities and events.
  • Managing the boarding house budget and resources effectively.
  • Reporting any concerns or incidents to the school administration promptly.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Candidates should possess:

  • A relevant degree or diploma in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with young people.
  • Knowledge of child protection policies and procedures.

Experience needed

Previous experience in a boarding school environment or in a supervisory role with young people is highly desirable.
