NICO Technologies has a vacancy for a Business Analyst, tenable at its Head Office in Blantyre. The successful candidate will support digital transformation by analysing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and assisting in designing and implementing digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen customer experience, and improve overall business performance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent’s key responsibilities shall, amongst others, include:

  • Analyse business processes, workflows, and operating models.
  • Elicit, document, and manage business and functional requirements.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of digital systems and workflows.
  • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
  • Engage business stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
  • Ensure compliance with business analysis standards and governance frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation.
  • Develop business requirement documents, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and benefits realisation tracking.

Required Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Business analysis and requirements elicitation skills.
  • Process mapping and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements.
  • Attention to detail and documentation quality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification or certification in Business Analysis, Digital Transformation, or Management will be an added advantage.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in business analysis or process improvement, including supporting digital or systems implementation projects.
