NICO Technologies invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Manager.

This is a strategic and technical leadership role responsible for overseeing Business Intelligence, data management, analytics, and reporting functions. The role ensures that data assets are governed, secure, reliable, and transformed into actionable insights that support operational excellence, strategic decision-making, regulatory compliance, and customer value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

The incumbent’s key responsibilities shall, amongst others, include:

  • Develop and implement the organisation’s Business Intelligence and Data Management strategy.
  • Lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise data architecture, data models, and reporting frameworks.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions for internal business units and external customers.
  • Establish and enforce data governance, data quality, and data security standards across all systems and platforms.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across integrated systems.
  • Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making practices across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to translate business requirements into meaningful analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Oversee data warehousing, data integration, and Extract, Transform and Load processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, data protection, and information security requirements.
  • Identify and manage data-related risks, including privacy, integrity, and availability risks.
  • Lead and mentor BI developers, data analysts, and data engineers.
  • Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of modern analytics tools and technologies.

Required Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:

  • Strong expertise in Business Intelligence tools (for example, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, and database management systems.
  • Experience with Extract, Transform and Load tools and data integration processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality management principles.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations and secure data handling practices.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (essential).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field (desirable).
  • Professional certification in Business Intelligence, Data Management, or Cloud Data Platforms (desirable).
  • Minimum of five to eight years’ experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, or data management roles.
  • At least three years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven experience in enterprise reporting, data warehousing, and analytics implementation.
