OVERVIEW

Office World Malawi, Blantyre Branch, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Business & Tender Officer.

POSITION: BUSINESS & TENDER OFFICER (BLANTYRE BRANCH)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare tender documents in line with PPDA regulations.
  • Advertise procurement notices and invitations to bid.
  • Organize bid openings and coordinate evaluation committees.
  • Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts while ensuring compliance with Malawi’s procurement laws.
  • Maintain records of procurement proceedings for audit and oversight.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and coordinate inspections of goods/services.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification such as CIPS is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in procurement and tender management.
  • Strong knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (2025).
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and e-tendering platforms.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure.
