Background

Mudzi Connect is a Malawian grant-making organization that serves as an intermediary to back communities fighting poverty with direct investment in solutions they design and lead. As an independent and locally-led development enterprise, we focus on empowering communities to drive their own progress. We believe local communities possess the vision, knowledge, and trust necessary to identify needs and implement effective solutions. Since 2018, we have invested in nearly 350 projects across Malawian communities, positively impacting the lives of over 500,000 Malawians.

Mudzi Connect is now open to receive Expressions of Interest (EOI) from individuals, groups, cooperatives, and community-based organizations for three separate grant opportunities, as follows:

Innovation Grants

– Targeting individuals, youth, and entrepreneurs with innovative ideas that have been prototyped and are working but lack funding to roll out, grow, and scale. Grants range from $1,000 to $5,000. READ MORE for further information. APPLY HERE

International Grants

– Targeting groups, cooperatives or Community Based Organizations that are implementing community-led development interventions in areas such as value addition, education, health, livelihoods and and other economic development. Grants range from $1,000 to a maximum of $10,000. APPLY HERE

Beekeeping Grants

– Targeting groups and cooperatives that have been engaged in beekeeping for the past two years and are ready to scale and grow their bee farming business. Grants range from $1,000 to a maximum of $7,500. APPLY HERE
