Background
Ekhaya Farms Foods, a subsidiary of Ekhaya Group of Companies and a fast-growing retail food chain in Malawi, is seeking a vibrant, dedicated, and experienced individual to join our team in Lilongwe and Blantyre.
Responsibilities
Ability to supervise cashiers, manage daily cash office operations, reconcile tills, prepare banking schedules, and ensure accurate cash reporting.
Qualifications
MSCE plus Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in cash office operations, retail accounting, or as a Cashier/Chief Cashier in a supermarket or FMCG environment.
Additional Details
- Good knowledge of cash management procedures, point-of-sale (POS) systems, daily cash reconciliation, banking processes, and internal cash controls.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve cash variances promptly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail accounting systems, with ERP system experience being an added advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to train, guide, and supervise Cashiers effectively.
- High level of honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
