CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Outple is recruiting on behalf of Spark Klean for a full-time Cleaning Operations Supervisor based in Malawi. Spark Klean is building a professional cleaning and staffing business serving households, offices and commercial organisations. The successful candidate will help find, assess, train and manage reliable cleaning and service staff.
Responsibilities
- Find and recruit suitable cleaners and other service workers.
- Build relationships with reliable recruitment sources and communities.
- Interview candidates and assess their attitude, experience and practical ability.
- Check identification, addresses, employment history and references.
- Coordinate appropriate background checks and maintain complete worker records.
- Develop and deliver practical induction and cleaning training.
- Match workers to suitable jobs and organise rotas and replacements.
- Monitor attendance, conduct and service quality.
- Resolve worker and client problems quickly and professionally.
- Help build effective recruitment, training and operating processes.
- Support commercial quotations and tenders when required.
Requirements
- At least four years’ experience in commercial cleaning, housekeeping, security, facilities management or another staffing-based service business.
- Practical experience recruiting, training and supervising frontline workers.
- Strong knowledge of local recruitment channels and communities.
- Experience handling attendance, performance and disciplinary problems.
- Strong organisation, judgement and problem-solving ability.
- Confident communication in English and Chichewa.
- Able to use WhatsApp, email and basic spreadsheets.
- High integrity and verifiable references.
Advantage: Experience with commercial cleaning contracts, quotations or tenders.
