About the role
As the Client Data Management Supervisor will be responsible for the daily reconciliation and discrepancy follow-up pieces of farmer repayments, ensuring strong system controls between Paybill statements, and the successful reporting of repayment performance
Note: The successful candidates will be offered a 10-months contract. The role is tenable in Zomba. Interested candidates must be willing to work in Zomba. One Acre Fund will provide support for employee relocation in-line with our internal relocation policy.
Job Description
1. Daily Repayment Reconciliation
- Reconcile daily Paybill repayment statements against transactions recorded in Fineract
- Verify that all farmer repayments are accurately captured in the system
- Investigate and flag discrepancies between Paybill statements and system records
2. Transaction Monitoring
- Identify missing, duplicated, or incorrectly posted repayment transactions
- Track and follow up on unresolved repayment discrepancies
- Maintain accurate reconciliation logs and supporting documentation
3. Data Quality Assurance
- Ensure repayment data integrity across operational systems
- Support cleaning and validation of repayment datasets
- Escalate anomalies or unusual transaction patterns to the Business Operations team
- Assist in maintaining repayment reconciliation trackers and dashboards
5. Operational Support
- Collaborate with operations and GCDM teams to resolve repayment issues
- Support process improvements related to repayment monitoring and reconciliation
Qualifications
- A minimum of Diploma in Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Experience working with large datasets and transaction records
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, particularly for reconciliation and data validation
- Ability to identify inconsistencies in financial or operational data
Additional skills that would be an advantage:
- Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools
- Experience using Dataiku or other data processing platforms
- Experience with data collection or database systems
- Basic understanding of financial reconciliation processes
