WE’RE HIRING – CLINICIAN (Diploma in Clinical Medicine)
Kings Medical Centre is a private medical facility offering Specialized services in Obstetrics and Gynecology, General surgery as well as other General Medical Services located in Lilongwe Area 12.
We are looking for a compassionate, competent, and highly motivated Clinician to join our growing healthcare team. Reporting directly to the Medical Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering quality patient care while upholding the highest standards of clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, history taking, physical examinations, and formulate appropriate diagnoses.
- Manage outpatient consultations and provide evidence-based treatment for acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Initiate appropriate investigations, interpret laboratory and imaging results, and develop individualized management plans.
- Identify and stabilize medical emergencies before referral where necessary.
- Prescribe medications rationally in accordance with national treatment and clinic’s guidelines.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, medication adherence, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Participate in health promotion, screening, and outreach programmes.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, laboratory personnel, pharmacy staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Refer complex cases appropriately and follow up on referred patients.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, clinical audits, and departmental meetings.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols, ethical standards, and Medical Council of Malawi regulations.
- Carry out any other clinical duties assigned by the Medical Director.
