ABOUT THE ROLE

Farmers Organisation Ltd is seeking a Commercial Specialist to coordinate all commercial market segment activities in the Central and Northern Regions of Malawi. The role involves engaging key stakeholders at a strategic level to build business relationships, influence decisions, and promote FOL technologies and AECI Malawi's product range.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • First degree in Agronomy or Soil Sciences (preferable).
  • Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in Malawi's agricultural industry.
  • Proven experience servicing internal and external stakeholders in Malawi's agricultural landscape.
  • Ability to connect and communicate with commercial and corporate customers.
  • Sound knowledge of Malawi market dynamics.
  • Computer literate in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must be prepared to travel within the region and internationally for training.
  • Valid driver's license.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote FOL technologies and services.
  • Prepare and present spray programs; expand the target base.
  • Determine customer needs; plan, report, and handle customer complaints.
  • Actively seek out new accounts; compile and manage client sales strategies.
  • Manage demonstration trials; draft crop programmes and promotional materials.
  • Provide solid technical support to distributors and farmers on the AECI product range.
  • Attend farmers' days; forecast product needs for the supply chain.
  • Train clients; evaluate competitor products for strategic positioning.
  • Assist with timely product forecasts; ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conform to SHEQ rules, safety standards, and internal control policies.
  • Represent AECI Malawi as directed by Management.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Sales Revenue, Sales Margins, Customer Retention, New Customer Acquisition, Working Capital Management, and Safety.
