About The Role
Emerge Livelihoods is seeking a highly inspired and creative Communications and Marketing Officer to join our ICT unit. In this role, you will deliver high-level communications across diverse platforms, driving brand awareness, community engagement, and stakeholder participation. You will work closely with the Team Leader to ensure our communications and marketing interventions increase access to services and support fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Management: Develop engaging content plans to promote the Emerge Livelihoods Strategic Plan (2024-2029) across multiple channels including websites, social media, public relations, and traditional media.
Member Engagement: Plan and execute day-to-day communications activities focused on member engagement, retention, and recruitment.
Stakeholder Communications: Develop and issue stakeholder communications, coordinating key assets such as messaging, collateral, and visuals for specific projects.
Community Relations: Support the strengthening of local and international community relations to ensure effective program and project coordination.
Representation: Represent Emerge Livelihoods in network meetings, events, and forums at national and international levels.
Partner Relations: Ensure effective partner relations at all levels in line with organizational procedures and guidelines.
Brand Visibility: Coordinate and support the review of Emerge Livelihoods brand visibility and ensure follow-up on post-review reflections.
Policy Compliance: Support the development and implementation of communications guidelines in line with the Strategic Plan and organizational policies. Ensure compliance with all procedures, including those related to safeguarding and equitable opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: A relevant qualification in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience in communications, marketing, or a similar role.
- Experience in creating content for digital and traditional media platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including members, partners, and the community.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong creativity and inspiration in delivering high-level communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and coordinate with various departments.
- Knowledge of brand management and visibility strategies.
- Commitment to organizational policies, including safeguarding and equitable practices.
