COOKS / KITCHEN STAFF
Job Purpose
The Cook/Kitchen Staff will support the preparation and service of safe, nutritious, hygienic, and appealing meals for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare meals according to approved menus and quantities.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, serving, and portion control.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen sanitation.
- Clean and properly store kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Monitor food supplies and report shortages.
- Store food appropriately to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Follow approved recipes, menus, and dietary requirements where applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas.
- Minimize food wastage.
- Follow health and safety procedures.
- Perform other kitchen duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant training in catering, food production, hospitality, or a related field is an advantage.
- Previous institutional or school catering experience is desirable.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a kitchen team.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
