Overview

A-Capital, a fast-growing non deposit taking microfinance focusing on providing access to inclusive formal financial services including loans, financial education and business management just to mention a few, is seeking a highly competent and self-driven Credit Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, appraise, and onboard new loan clients
  • Identify and recruit potential clients within assigned areas
  • Conduct loan monitoring and follow-ups
  • Ensure timely loan repayments through reminders and client engagement
  • Manage loan recoveries and delinquent accounts
  • Maintain accurate client and loan records
  • Promote responsible borrowing and financial literacy among clients

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Experience in microfinance or financial inclusion programs is a strong advantage
  • Practical knowledge of group lending and individual lending methodologies
  • Experience in client mobilization, loan appraisal, and recoveries

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of integrity and accountability
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work in the field and meet targets.
  • Communications & Media Studies
