JOB DETAILS:
Overview
A-Capital, a fast-growing non deposit taking microfinance focusing on providing access to inclusive formal financial services including loans, financial education and business management just to mention a few, is seeking a highly competent and self-driven Credit Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, appraise, and onboard new loan clients
- Identify and recruit potential clients within assigned areas
- Conduct loan monitoring and follow-ups
- Ensure timely loan repayments through reminders and client engagement
- Manage loan recoveries and delinquent accounts
- Maintain accurate client and loan records
- Promote responsible borrowing and financial literacy among clients
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Diploma in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Experience in microfinance or financial inclusion programs is a strong advantage
- Practical knowledge of group lending and individual lending methodologies
- Experience in client mobilization, loan appraisal, and recoveries
Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work in the field and meet targets.
