We are looking for a rockstar Delivery Manager with 10+ years of experience to manage projects with our client-dedicated Team in one of the biggest operators in South Africa.

Overview of the Role

The Delivery Manager will be responsible for driving the creation, planning, execution, and closure of deliverables to meet the goals and objectives of multiple projects and initiatives across multiple teams and systems internally and externally.

Role Responsibilities

Client Ownership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary project point of contact for the network operator, building trusted relationships across their operational teams.
  • Lead stakeholder alignment between the network operator and Hyve on priorities and expectations.

End-to-End Project Delivery

  • Own the full project lifecycle from inception to closure across multiple concurrent programmes – defining scope, managing implementation schedules, and ensuring delivery to agreed quality standards.
  • Drive project kick-offs, planning, and milestone execution; facilitate cross-functional team and client meetings to maintain momentum.
  • Apply an agile approach to prioritisation, managing scope and schedules to maximise value delivery.

Resource Orchestration

  • Assemble and coordinate project teams, dynamically pulling dedicated resources and additional expertise from the wider Hyve pool as delivery needs evolve.
  • Negotiate capacity, delivery timelines, and resource allocation across competing projects and business demands.

Risk, Quality & Performance Management

  • Monitor project health proactively – identifying risks, issues, and scope drift early and initiating corrective action before they impact delivery.
  • Escalate blockers and commercial concerns promptly to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Provide transparent, regular reporting on progress, risks and resource utilisation.

Strategy & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the network operators delivery roadmap and internal capacity planning, aligning technical capability with client strategy.
  • Champion lessons learned and process improvements to strengthen the delivery model over time.

Qualifications or requirements

We’re looking for a Delivery Manager who is highly organised, relentlessly focused on outcomes, and passionate about great delivery.

Key competencies required for the role:

  • Strong Stakeholder Engagement – Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Multi-Project Agility – Ability to manage and prioritise multiple concurrent deliverables without dropping the ball.
  • Keen Attention to Detail – Catches scope drift, schedule risks, and quality gaps before they escalate.
  • Strong Organisational Discipline – Structured, systematic approach to planning, tracking, and reporting across complex projects.
  • Self-Starter Mindset – Confident, driven, and proactive – someone who looks for solutions rather than problems.
  • Technical Fluency – Ability to quickly grasp technical requirements and hold intelligent conversations with engineers and architects, even without hands-on experience.
