JOB DETAILS:

Domasi College of Education invites applications from qualified and experienced Teachers and Lecturers, preferably from the Eastern Region of Malawi, to join its academic team as Part-Time Lecturers for the upcoming semester.

Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences

Qualification

Applicants should be serving Secondary School Teachers or Lecturers with any of the following:

• Bachelor of Education with Credit, Upper Second Class, or Distinction.
• Applicants with a Master’s Degree or PhD will have an added advantage.

Job Purpose

To teach, mentor, and help students achieve their highest potential both in and outside lectures, while developing them into useful, confident, and responsible citizens.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible to the Head of Department (HOD) and will be expected to:

• Teach and devise effective learning approaches for students.
• Set up and supervise students’ experiments and projects.
• Organize tutorials and lead student discussions on specific topics.
• Assess students’ performance and adhere to assessment procedures and deadlines.
• Maintain records of students’ progress.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
