ABOUT THE ROLE
The Diocese of Karonga, through its Education Desk, is committed to providing quality, efficient, and effective education. After establishing St. Denis Catholic Primary School in 2024, the Diocese is now opening a new co-education (Boys and Girls) Catholic Primary School in Chitipa District – St. Andrews Catholic Primary School.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess a T2 Certificate of Education from a recognized Teachers Training College
- Must have at least 5 years of teaching experience and in a leadership position
- Knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching is a must
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing master timetable
- Chairing and participating in disciplinary meetings
- Checking schemes of work and lesson plans
- Checking test items
- Acting on behalf of the Head Teacher in their absence
- Allocating teaching subjects to responsible staff
- Assisting the Head Teacher in supervising teaching
- Any other duty assigned from time to time
