AHL Tobacco Sales Limited is a subsidiary entity of AHL Group Plc. The company is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant position of a Driver tenable at AHL Tobacco Sales Head Office in Lilongwe.
Position function
To drive and manage company vehicles on scheduled trips.
Responsibilities or duties
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of a Driver will include the following:
- Conducting regular/day-to-day vehicle checks i.e. oil, water, battery, brakes tyres, etc;
- Ensuring that the vehicle is road worthy and reporting to the Supervisor the dates for renewal of insurance and COF before expiry;
- Updating log books, timely indicating opening daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes and closing mileage after each trip;
- Ensuring cleanliness of the vehicles;
- Observing safety of vehicles all the time;
- Driving the company vehicles on assigned errands;
- Advising supervisors on vehicle maintenance;
- Promptly reporting breakdowns and/or accidents;
- Producing periodic vehicle running reports; and
- Performing any other duties assigned from time to time
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Qualifications and Attributes
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE);
- Valid Driving Licence Class C1/B with Passenger Category (Class D);
- A Defensive Driving Certificate will be an added advantage.
Experience needed
- 3 years driving experience;
