Background

The Lutheran Mobile Clinic is based in Lilongwe and provides mobile rural healthcare to four Villages in the Lilongwe area.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Vehicle Policies as set by the Administration
  • Responsible for picking up the LMC staff from designated locations and transporting them to the appropriate clinic for that day.
  • Check fluids in all clinic vehicles daily and report problems to administration immediately.
  • Make sure that there is always fuel in the vehicles. Do not allow any fuel tank to decrease below ¼ tank!
  • Keep track of vehicle servicing schedules. Please notify the administration when the mileage is at 500 km before the next service is due.
  • Properly document vehicle usage by filling mileage form kept in vehicle
  • Vehicles must be parked at Area 10/35 and LBI by the end of the working day by 5 p.m.
  • Clinic vehicles are not to be used for employee personal use
  • Supervise maintenance men at clinic sites and report progress weekly to the administration.
  • Assist in any other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license class C
  • Possess a valid Driver's license category P and a defensive driving certificate from Road Safety Services
  • 4 years of experience driving a manual vehicle (Land Cruiser), off-road, and all road conditions, with a safe driving record
  • Knowledge of driving rules and regulations
  • Skills in minor vehicle repairs.
  • Punctual
