The Enforcement Assistant – eControl will support the firm’s eControl practice by providing end-to- end support throughout the client’s enforcement program. This includes drafting letters and client status updates, analyzing marketplace data, making necessary database updates, and creating requests for other Operations teams. This position will assist associate attorneys with their tasks related to enforcement on behalf of brand clients. The Enforcement Assistant – eControl will monitor, track, and support tactics under attorney supervision against unauthorized sellers of products bearing the client’s trademarks.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare client update emails, including detailed enforcement histories and recommended next steps on regular cadences.
  • Monitor listings of unauthorized sellers to determine their compliance with cease-and-desist letters.
  • Create batch requests for enforcement centre and internet investigation requests and manage non-batch letter requests
  • Assist with data analysis to prioritize unauthorized sellers for enforcement and assist with preparation of cease-and-desist letters to unauthorized sellers.
  • Monitor client-specific email inboxes for responses.
  • Prepare reports and compilations regarding enforcement activities for client-reporting purposes for attorney review.
  • Analyse tracking software dashboards and reports for preparation of client specific KPI reports.
  • Maintain client tracker with status of enforcement tactics.
  • Update the database with information on actions taken against unauthorized sellers
  • Analyse marketplace reviews of client products for draft complaint template

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge:

An organized body of information usually of a factual or procedural nature which makes satisfactory performance on the job possible.

Skills:

Proficient manual, verbal, or mental management of data or situations. Skills can be readily measured by a performance test or observation.

Abilities:

Power to perform any observable activity at any given time. Abilities are evidenced through activities or behaviours that are similar to those required on the job.

  • Advanced working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Excellent spelling and proofreading skills, including the ability to analyze documents for accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload with short turnaround times.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Detail and deadline oriented.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands from multiple people.
  • High comfort and aptitude with technology.
  • Ability to carry out routine administrative tasks with proficiency and accuracy.
  • General knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, including the ability and willingness to adapt to unique circumstances.
  • Self-motivated and flexible to complete assignments in a timely manner

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience,
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar field.
