HAIL & COTTON (Malawi) LIMITED, a fully owned subsidiary of HAIL & COTTON International B.V. based in Netherlands, a company that supplies premium leaf tobacco and value-added services to manufacturers of tobacco products worldwide, is seeking highly motivated and qualified candidates to join our dynamic team in the following roles:
Job Purpose
The Floors Clerk is responsible for booking and off-loading tobacco at designated floors for sale on schedule. S/he will engage with high-level stakeholders and provide efficient sales data reporting.
The Clerk must perform duties with diligence and integrity while reporting directly to the Contract Market Coordinator.
Qualifications & Experience
- MSCE with credits in English and Mathematics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with growers and value chain stakeholders.
- Computer literate or conversant with smartphone use.
- Self starter with sober habits, willing to work odd hours or weekends when required.
Remuneration
An attractive package will be offered to the successful candidates.
- Ensure all booking documents are Vetted by TC taskforce and submitted to AHL for Booking and off-loading.
- Ensure that all bookings and offloading are done according to our buying plan.
- Ensuring that all Tobacco bales booked are offloaded and sorted in time at receiving bay.
- Ensuring that Transporters are advised on the delivery of tobacco in time.
- Attending farmers queries during sales at auction floors.
- Attending all tobacco delivery and sales meeting at designated auction floor.
- Taking record of nested, NTRM infested tobacco or any other factor that results in tobacco being rejected.
- Collaborating and liaising with accredited grower bodies (Associations), TC and other stakeholders to ensure smooth sales process.
- Submission of weekly and monthly floors sales reports.
- Any other related duties assigned from time to time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
