Background
Africa Global Logistics Malawi Limited is a subsidiary of a multinational corporation MSC. Africa Global Logistics is a leading Freight Forwarding and Logistics company in the country. The Group is one of the leading integrated logistics network operators in Africa with concessions in ports and railways. In Malawi we operate the entire logistics service range from international freight forwarding to warehousing and distribution management. The company intends to recruit suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions. Tenable in Lilongwe.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a strong base in sales and marketing. Those with professional certifications in sales & marketing will have an added advantage. We are looking for a professional with strong communication skills, capable of building lasting client relationships and presenting our products and services clearly in both verbal and written formats.
The ideal candidate should be customer-focused, they must possess sales acumen, and strong negotiation skills.
They must also have over four years of demonstrated success in field sales and implementation of sales and marketing strategy in a challenging sales environment. They should also have knowledge of application of sales and marketing principles such as sales process and marketing mix in a cross functional matrix structure.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: –
a) Territory Sales
- Itinerarised, focused and productive sales visits
- Delivering sales growth and value creation
- Monitoring and reviewing of sales budgets periodically
- Implementation of sales tools and systems
b) Key Account Management
- Preparing informed customer volume forecasts
- Client performance trending
- Reporting on market intelligence data analysis
- Preparing efficient periodic reports
c) Customer Service
- Developing, executing and managing customer service plans in relation to group’s framework
- Developing and managing customer relations
- Leading and managing all customer interactions
- Handling customer queries timely
d) Sales Administration
- Managing resources and sales budgets judiciously
- Gathering and reporting market intelligence
- Managing and implementing of sales contracts and trade terms /policies
