Responsibilities or duties
To manage financial resources, and to make the necessary investment recommendations to Management.
- Implementing, and reviewing financial and investment policies, systems and procedures including management and control mechanisms;
- Consolidating, reviewing, implementing and monitoring short-term and long-term financial strategies, budgets and investments;
- Providing guidance on viable investments to attain optimum return on financial resources;
- Monitoring compliance to set standards and procedures and progress of institute investments;
- Advising departments on financial administration standards and procedures to ensure effective control of the Institution’s financial resources;
- Ensure timely processing salaries, taxes and other statutory remittances;
- Identifying and recommending investment opportunities;
- Maintaining Fixed Assets register;
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Experience needed

- Strong interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills
- Good leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance plus a relevant Professional Qualification (ACCA/ CIMA / CPA).
- Those with a Master’s Degree in the above fields plus a relevant professional qualification will have an added advantage.
