The Role:
As a Finance Assistant at Kwenda, you will support the Finance Manager in maintaining financial records, processing payments, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping and tax compliance. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow their finance career in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and track payments, payouts, and invoices
- Assist in payroll preparation and related finance tasks
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Prepare basic financial reports for management
- Support compliance with statutory and tax obligations
- Assist with reconciliations and expense tracking
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in finance or bookkeeping (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
