Overview

MobiPay Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance and Administration Manager (FAM) to support the Chief Finance Officer in overseeing the company’s financial management, accounting, administration, human resources, and procurement functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring strong financial controls, regulatory compliance, and efficient operational management across all business units.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in finance and administration, with at least two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, payroll, budgeting, and audit processes
  • Experience working in regulated environments is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of financial statements, activity reports, forecasts, and management accounts
  • Monitoring all business units to ensure accurate invoicing and billing to prevent revenue loss
  • Tracking bills and invoices and ensuring timely collection of receivables
  • Daily and monthly revenue reconciliations
  • Development and implementation of financial controls, policies, systems, and accounting strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (MAGLA, RBM, MRA, PPDA, Trade, City Councils, Companies Act, etc.)
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual final accounts
  • Preparation of audit schedules and coordination of annual audits
  • Managing the annual budgeting process and monthly cash flow projections
  • Supervising and mentoring Finance and Administration Officers
  • Overseeing day-to-day finance department operations
  • Coordinating payroll updates with Human Resources and reviewing payroll
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining and reconciling the fixed assets register
  • Managing taxes, pensions, TEVET, and PPDA levies
  • Supporting recruitment processes and maintaining HR records
  • Handling disciplinary matters
  • Managing procurement of goods and services in line with best practices
  • Overseeing insurance cover for staff and company assets
  • Managing office premises to ensure they are well maintained and presentable
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time
