We are hiring a Fleet Manager to join our team in Lilongwe. This role is ideal for a mature, analytical and responsible professional who will manage fleet performance, fuel control, maintenance and driver compliance.

Location: Lilongwe, Malawi

Position: Fleet Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor fleet movements and driver behaviour through the GPS tracking system.
  • Track fuel consumption and investigate abnormal usage or variances.
  • Monitor servicing, repairs, tyre condition and vehicle cleanliness.
  • Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and maintenance records are updated.
  • Prepare regular fleet performance and fuel reports.
  • Investigate breakdowns, accidents and operational incidents.
  • Work with Operations, Dispatch and Workshop teams to improve fleet availability and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Fleet Management, Transport, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a commercial vehicle fleet.
  • Experience using GPS tracking and fleet management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of fuel control, vehicle maintenance and reporting.
  • Good Microsoft Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Mature, organised and able to work with minimal supervision.
