The Opportunity

The Food Nutritionist will oversee nutritional standards in the development, formulation, and evaluation of food products produced by the company. The role ensures that products meet regulatory nutrition requirements, support consumer health, and align with company quality and food safety standards.Advertise in Malawi

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review nutritionally balanced food product formulations.
  • Ensure compliance with national food safety and nutrition standards.
  • Conduct nutritional analysis and prepare accurate nutrition labels.
  • Monitor product quality and recommend improvements based on nutritional value.
  • Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to maintain standards.
  • Provide guidance on food fortification and dietary requirements.
  • Keep up to date with current nutrition research and regulatory developments.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Dietetics, or related field.
  • Relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in food production, nutrition analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and nutritional standards.
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
