The Opportunity

The GPS Installation Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of GPS tracking systems in company vehicles and equipment. The role supports fleet management, operational efficiency, and asset security by ensuring that all tracking devices function correctly, provide reliable location data, and comply with company fleet monitoring requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure GPS tracking devices in company vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GPS units.
  • Maintain accurate installation records and system documentation.
  • Monitor GPS system performance and report any irregularities.
  • Coordinate with operations and fleet teams to ensure proper device functionality.
  • Provide basic user support and training where required.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in GPS installation or vehicle tracking systems will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel when required.
  • Good communication skills.
