GUIDANCE & COUNSELLING OFFICER
Job Purpose
The Guidance & Counselling Officer will support students' emotional, social, personal, and academic wellbeing while promoting a safe and supportive environment for girls to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counselling.
- Support students experiencing academic, social, emotional, or personal challenges.
- Develop student wellbeing and counselling programmes.
- Provide career guidance and educational planning.
- Maintain confidential counselling records.
- Identify students requiring specialized support and facilitate referrals.
- Conduct workshops on life skills, personal development, relationships, study skills, and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, school leadership, and professionals.
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence, resilience, and responsible decision-making.
- Support safeguarding and child-protection initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Counselling Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with children or adolescents is an advantage.
- Strong counselling, communication, interpersonal, and confidentiality skills.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: bachelor degree
