OVERVIEW

CTS Courier Company is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and highly motivated professionals to fill the position of Head of Finance and Accounts

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial Management

• Manage CTS Courier Company’s budget and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee timely and accurate recording of all accounting transactions.
• Ensure full compliance with Malawi tax regulations, CTS policies and procedures, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ensure effective and efficient stewardship of CTS Courier Company’s assets and financial resources.
• Manage internal and external audits and ensure audit findings and recommendations are addressed and implemented.
• Work closely with executive management to identify financial gaps and implement corrective actions.

2. Business Operations

• Report on CTS Courier Company’s financial and operational performance, including key metrics.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with company strategy
• Recommend improvements in business processes and organizational structures.
• Oversee internal control systems and risk management processes.
• Ensure operational roles, responsibilities, and workflows are clear and enhance service delivery.
• Support the contracting and management of consultants and service providers.
• Assist in identifying and addressing high-risk operational and financial issues.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.

3. Grants and Contract Management

• Create, manage, and maintain an accurate database for all CTS Courier Company grants and contracts.
• Ensure proper financial oversight and compliance for all contractual obligations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Registered with the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA).
• Compliance with Malawi tax regulations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Studying professional levels of ACCA and/or Member of ACCA or ICAM.
• 1–2 years relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and reporting skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
